Summer, but not the best one...

Now it's been a long time since last post, and I guess I have to write for several hours to update everything, so this time I’ll just write about June, and do the first days of July another day.

Well, this summer has so far not been too good, and although we’ve had some really warm days it’s been a lot of rain. But the days are flying sunshine or rain, and especially for Nina it’s been a eventful June because her grandparents from Germany are here to play with her and give her a lot of attention for 5 weeks! And she really loves it!

I have finally had time to do some things on my own, which I felt was really necessary after staying home with Nina almost 24 hours a day for 15 months. Oli and I have also had some time to paint the house and fix up the garden a bit. So now it feels more like a home again :-)

Well, over to some photos from the last month: First of all, Nina loves small corners and boxes and likes to squeeze herself into things, so this is one of her favourite places, her toy-box.

This is great fun!

She also likes talking on the phone.

And not to forget...she really loves cows!

A serious conversation with Mrs Cow.

And a cuddle!

Since Oli's parents lives close to the Adidas and Puma factories (and the factory outlets) in Germany Nina is walking around like a live mini-model for the two companies (or looks like she’s been to the gym everyday, hi, hi).

Mini-model in action :-)

On the terrace floor it’s always so many interesting things to eat (bugs, leaves, stones)...

Our camera is having some trouble with the auto focus, especially when I want to take a photo fast because Nina is doing something funny. So the next photos are not sharp, but I thought Nina had so many funny faces that I wanted to include them here anyway.

One day I found out that Ninas hair was getting too long (especially her fringe, because it was getting in her eyes). So then I cut it “quick and dirty” with only one cut with the scissor while I tried to distract Nina to sit still for two seconds (which is a big challenge these days). Well, the result...too short but actually not to bad...and it will grow out soon, so I’m not too worried. I’m just relived that I didn’t cut her :-) Well, here is the result:

Mum, what have you done, I look like a BOY!

Maybe it looks better if I smile like this!

We have bought a small soft chair for Nina, and she loves it...

Now I can finally relax!

Nina (and parents) have also been to a party at Tonje and Torbjørns place, about 1 hour drive from us. She had great fun and immediately jumped into the big bucket with ice-water and BEER, yeah! This girl knows the good stuff. For dessert Nina got an icecream, and she ate the whole thing...except the small bits and pices that didn't get into the mouth of course!

Yummy!

What are you laughing at?

Nina loves to play in the house where her grandparents live...it's so much to explore. She's running from one room to the other and back again! And the floor makes a funny noise with shoes on...

Nina has also found out that often when we take out the camera she gets a big flash in her face, and thinks that is a bit scary-funny...so she's always smiling when she sees the camera, but with this sceptic look in her eyes, but she hasn't figured out that the camera doesn't always flash, so she's always waiting for it he, he.

Some other things that are great fun at the moment are: eating, feeding mum and dad, coughing for fun, waking up many times every night (fingers crossed that this will get better when the days are getting shorter again), talking (babbling) and shouting as loud as possible. Here are two examples:

Hihi ;)

I wondered how those ice-pictures turned out. Nice. She ate with her whole face, so cute :)
