Looking back at 2008

Here we go again … another year has passed and 2009 is already rolling on fast. We thought it would be fun to put together a little highlight show with some of the best moments we had in 2008. It was really difficult to decide on one what photos or movies to select, but here it is …

January 2008
Heidi, Nina and I enjoying ourselves on an evening boat trip in Fiji at the Shang-Ri-La resort. I guess the rescue vest was a few sizes too big, but if nothing else it looked good on her.
This is one of Nina’s first longer crawling attempts. She looks a little bit shaky, but she gets it done. She had her first try in Fiji.

February 2008
Nina having a little swim in her bath tub on our balcony in Eastwood. She looks nasty with that tough hair cut.
Here Nina is testing out the carousel at the Macquire Shopping Centre. Looks like she has an opinion about the plane she is sitting in.

March 2008
This is Nina on her first birthday enjoying her birthday muffin.
Heidi and Nina fooling around in the Sydney Botanical Garden and enjoying a late summer day. We certainly miss our day trips into the city.

April 2008
Our time in Australia was winding down. Four days before our return to Norway we did a little trip to Terrigal, north of Sydney. Nina and Oli relaxing in the shade at Terrigal Beach.
This is Nina learning how to walk. The next day, just the last day before our return trip to Norway, Nina took her first steps alone without help. Now Nina has a few things to be of … crawling for the first time in Fiji and taking first walking steps alone in Australia.

May 2008
Back home in Norway we started off with great weather. It was quite warm for the beginning of May, so we did a little trip to Drøbak (a nice picturesque place at the Oslofjord close to our home in Ås). Here Nina tastes ice cream for the first time … no doubt she loves it.
This little movie clip shows Nina in complete excitement about the fact that she can walk now independently.

June 2008
The first heat wave was hitting Norway. It was time to inflate the outdoor pool and let Nina splash in the water to cool down. Only the drinks are missing ...
Nina having fun with Opa (grandfather in German). It was great to have my parents around for 5 weeks. Plenty of time to play and fool around with Nina.

July 2008
Happy family in summer holiday. No more explanation needed :-)
Workout for daddy, rollercoaster for Nina. Fooling around in Drøbak.

August 2008
Nina and Daddy ready to conquer the Oslofjord in Drøbak.
Bull riding is one of Nina’s favoured activities … as long as it is happening on a safe “bull” like her gymnastics ball operated by Daddy.

September 2008
Nina having an excellent time with our Irish/Australian friend Ciaran. It took them no time to become mates …. ;-)

October 2008
Heidi’s old class mates have come for a visit. Nina loves the entertainment and attention she gets every time someone is around.
Besides bull riding Nina also enjoys bullfighting. The only thing she is missing are the horns. Maybe a Viking helmet would have done the job? ;-)

November 2008
Nina is ready to shoot some hoops and slam some jams in the next basketball game. No doubt that this will work with Mama’s Nike Flight basketball shoes.
Nina is using her red emergency phone to call someone important. Who might it be … George or Vladimir?

December 2008
No Christmas photos here, even though it is december! ;-) Look mummy, I can pose for the camera.
Yummy! Always good to have a little snow snack! I just hope it's not yellow.

Hope you enjoyed the ride! Cheers!
